Overview

The Haunting of Holloway Manor is a first person puzzle game. Players explore a mysterious building, inspired by the Winchester Mystery House. Players must learns how to control the forces at play, construct their own path, deeper and deeper into the shifting maze of rooms and corridors.

HM Core Loop
Core loop

The core loop of Holloway Manor involves the player moving through two key play-modes. In the first stage of the loop, players will create paths through the manor. They will then follow these paths, solving puzzles to unlock doors and move forward. As the players delve deeper, they will uncover the mystery's of the manor through an engaging narrative.

The games hub room contains a scale model of Holloway Manor. The player can rearrange, add or remove rooms to the miniature, in order to change the layout of the full-scale building. This allows players to plan there route through challenges and collectables.

Puzzle

Each room of Holloway Manor contains a unique puzzle the player must solve in order to progress. This is inspired by the Portal series, the player must use a range of abilities to place a crystal ball onto a font. Once in place, the ball channels the psychic energy that fuels the manor and opens the exit.

Telekinesis

The player can moves objects with the power of their mind.

The player can phase some objects through solids.

Time Shift

The player can move some objects through time, altering their state.

User abilities attracts attention from the dark forces within the manor. If a players uses their abilities for too long, they are hunted by the evil presence and forced to retreat to the safety of the hub area.
